Heart Cry’s Community Groups are our primary means for mission, serving, community, discipleship, accountability, and mentoring. All are welcome: followers of Jesus, seekers, doubters, and skeptics.

A Community Group is not just a bible study, support meeting, or a weekly "get together." It can and will involve all of these, but it goes much further than that. The goal is to do life together intentionaly and on mission. Each Community Group owns the brokenness, needs, pains, hurts, struggles, and fears of the greater community that sourrounds it because Community Groups are the primary mechanism for Heart Cry Church to serve and engage Queen Creek through the power of the Holy Spirit.

There are three components of Community Groups: 1) Gospel, 2) Mission, and 3) Community. Every group will identity the gospel that is found in the word of God. It is our desire to make much of Jesus instead of making much of us. Every group will have a specific mission and will work to accomplish their goals. Lastly, each group will constantly take care of one another and live life together within the context of the group. If we put our focus on just community, we will never be able to achieve community. When the gospel is preached and we are focused on mission, true community is naturally generated.

We must move beyond being told where and how to serve as we begin to do mission, to be present and invested in others' lives, making spiritual and cultural imprints where we live, work and hang. Being a part of God's family, living for His mission and in community is critical to being the church, rather than simply attending worship services. It is our goal for us to realize that we are all missionaries in our local context and should plan accordingly.
